Entrepreneur, Founder, CEO & UHNW Broker.
Launching a finance business at the beginning of the financial crisis shaped how I approach both business and client work.
Enness grew around people whose circumstances needed to be understood individually: founders with wealth tied up in their businesses, international families with assets across countries, and borrowers whose income did not fit a standard application.
Alongside Enness, I co-founded a European bridging lender in 2021 and subsequently exited the business. That experience added a lender’s perspective to my work arranging finance.
My involvement tends to centre on transactions where the structure, lender selection or execution requires particular attention.
That can mean financing a London property for an international buyer, assessing borrowing after a business sale, or reviewing a case where substantial assets have not translated into a mortgage offer.
I work with the Enness team and clients’ existing advisers to understand the circumstances, assess the options and manage the process through to completion.
A useful finance proposal needs to make sense beyond its headline rate. The ownership structure, liquidity requirements, lender conditions and ability to complete all deserve attention.
My writing examines those decisions through the situations I encounter in practice: why wealthy borrowers can struggle to obtain finance, when to compare a private bank’s proposal, and what can cause a complex transaction to stall.
I contribute commentary on high-value mortgages, private banking and the financing decisions of wealthy international buyers.
